Boltby

Boltby: overall view
Boltby is a quiet village tucked in a hollow among the Hambleton foothills. So far it has resisted the change into a village of second homes and retains a strong local community. There has been little building development and so the population has halved from 295 in 1851 to 140 in 1991. Once, Boltby had two pubs; The Johnstone Arms (now a trekking centre) and the Carpenter's Arms (now a private house).
