Bransdale

There is a kind of symmetry across the dale. The patchwork of fields, tracks, deciduous woodland and well-spread farmsteads on the valley floor give way to conifer plantations on the slopes. Above these is the heather moorland of Bransdale Moor to the east and Bilsdale East Moor to the west.
