![]() The CD has (approx) 6 pages about Carlton in Cleveland. |
| Carlton in Cleveland lies close to Carlton Bank, below the escarpment of the Cleveland Hills. Alum Beck flows down through the middle of the village and its rolling banks form a village green with natural landscaping. The cottages are set well back on either side, behind and above the banks. Originally a centre for alum mining, Carlton is now a fashionable dormitory for Teesside executives, with a development of modern properties at the top of the village. |
