| Ralph's Cross is the emblem of the North York Moors National Park, a familiar shape on official publications. It is a classic moorland cross with a simple broad base supporting a two piece stem. Above is one of the largest crosses in the area, carved from a single piece of stone. 'Young' Ralph stands on Blakey Ridge near the road junctions a mile north of the Lion Inn. 'Old' Ralph, a smaller cross, stands a quarter of a mile west on open moorland. |
