| The village of Ruswarp is less than 2 miles from Whitby, and is reached, without ever completely leaving the built up area, via Ruswarp Bank, a road flanked by houses. Despite this, Ruswarp is well separated from the bulk of Whitby, tucked into a hollow, mainly on the north bank of the Esk. There are beautiful views along the river and rowing boats (and canoes) can be hired above the weir on the road to Sleights. |
