The CD has (approx) 20 pages about Sandsend. |
| Sandsend is two miles north west from Whitby and is literally at the end of a long stretch of beach, where sand dunes give way to rugged cliffs. It is a small resort in its own right, attracting many day visitors and a few to stay. The old village is set slightly inland along the banks of Sandsend Beck. Sandsend Ness was extensively quarried for alum until the mid-nineteenth century. |
