Scarborough

Scarborough: South Bay The CD has (approx) 50 pages about Scarborough.
Scarborough continues to be the premier resort on the Yorkshire Coast, with its wonderful natural setting in two bays divided by the Castle Headland. The Romans had a signal station here, and the Normans built a castle. Its reputation as a spa dates from 1620, but it was the railway which brought tourists in large numbers in Victorian times. Scarborough has survived the competition of foreign holidays by attracting many day trippers in recent years.
