Sleights

Sleights The CD has (approx) 7 pages about Sleights.
Sleights is a large village on the A169 on the south bank of the River Esk, 4 miles from Whitby. It is a popular residential area with many nicely situated modern properties. A large metal bridge spans the Esk and the Whitby to Middlesbrough railway at the bottom of the village. Also covered in this chapter are the nearby settlements of Ugglebarnby, Hempsyke, Iburndale and Littlebeck, as well as Falling Foss, a local beauty spot.
