Staithes

Staithes The CD has (approx) 25 pages about Staithes.
Staithes is a village split into two halves. The larger, modern village is half a mile inland, close to the A174, and at cliff-top level. Visitors to old Staithes must use the car park there and walk half a mile down the 1 in 4 incline to sea level (and climb back up!). The old village is a traditional Yorkshire fishing village with white washed cottages squeezed between precarious cliffs and the sea, with a small harbour where the beck meets the sea, and also a tiny beach.
