From the footpath, you can watch as gliders are towed into the air by light aircraft. When sufficient altitude is reached, the glider pilot releases the towing cable and the plane returns trailing the cable. As an alternative, gliders can be launched directly from the ground, out over the edge of the cliff, using a cable winch. It is very relaxing on a warm day to sit and watch the gliders maneouvring to make use of the air currents around the cliff.
