Lake Gormire is a beautiful and peaceful spot, well removed from traffic noise. On a weekday afternoon you may well have the place to yourself. Perhaps the most rewarding view is this one showing reflections of Whitestone Cliff across the lake. With a little imagination, the overall shape of the outcrop can be seen to justify the nickname 'White Mare Crag'.
