Hood Hill & Roulston Scar

Hood Hill & Roulston Scar from Sutton Bank
The view south-west from the top of Sutton Bank. There are numerous forest tracks in the dip between the cliff face of Roulston Scar and the tree-covered dome of Hood Hill, which provide an alternative route back from the 'White Horse'. The round trip from Sutton Bank is three miles. On a clear day, it is possible to see 40 miles across to the Pennines, way beyond Harrogate. Menwith Hill Communications Station is usually visible at 25 miles.
