| Whitestone Cliff is a sheer rock outcrop of over 30 metres in height. It is about
half a mile north of Sutton Bank Car Park, along the footpath overlooking the Vale of Mowbray. As a
prominent local landmark, it gives its name to Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, a village two miles
west on the A170. An alternative name is White Mare Crag (not to be confused with the Kilburn White
Horse). |
