Thirlby is one mile from the A170 at Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, lying on a minor route to Boltby. It is a closely knit residential village with attractive stone built properties and well-maintained gardens. It lies off the tourist trail and has no facilities for visitors. This picture shows trees still in leaf in mid-November (2000), with sunshine melting an early snow fall.
