Wainstones

At the western end of Hasty Bank, the hil above great Btoughton, the huge slabs of rock that are exposed at the Wainstones provide climbs of varying difficulty for rock climbers. For such a good climbing location, it is very close to the major population mass of Teesside and is less than a mile from the road at Clay Bank. Organised groups always adhere to strict rules, so don't try it unprepared.
